Paul Rodriguez

You know you’ve heard the name Paul Rodriguez. The 23-year-old Paul shares his name with his father, a famous Comedian and TV star. But, Paul is just as well known in skateboarding, as his father is in his profession.

P-Rod is so highly regarded as an athlete that he is one of only five people in the world with a shoe named after him by Nike. In 2005 Nike SB released its first signature model skateboard shoe, the Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez, and Rodriguez has the distinction of being the only Hispanic to receive a pro model shoe with Nike as well as the first skateboarder to receive this honor.

Rodriguez is well respected, however, for his technical mastery on a skateboard. Paul has been called “one of those few skaters who are born to skate.” If there was ever someone who is “perfect” on a skateboard, it’s Paul.

Paul enjoys shooting videos, but loves spending his time skating with his friends at his favorite spots. Expect to see him on the big screen in Rob Dyrdek’s Street Dreams soon.

For having success at such a young age, Paul remains very focused and grounded. Despite his fame and fortune, he’s as friendly and humble as they come… far more like a normal kid than you’d ever expect. And that’ something to be proud of.
