Nowadays, in the street-centric world of professional skateboarding, it’s not easy making a name for yourself as a vert skater. But PLG has proved himself time and time again in the vert game. Hailing from Montreal Canada, he made his way down to Southern California a few years ago to live his dream of being a pro skater. But he never dreamed that He’d win more medals than any other athlete in the 2005 X Games—Vert gold, Best Trick bronze and Big Air silver. Add that to the awards he’s won in other X Games and events over the years, and you got yourself a healthy dose of precious medals.

Unfortunately for PLG, he broke his leg two weeks before the 2006 X Games and didn’t have a chance at the podium, but in 2007 he landed Vert Silver and Big Air Bronze.

Bringing tech, street-style-type skating to the ramp, with a plenty of innovation of his own, PLG pushes the limits of what can be done on a halfpipe. He is stylish and precise, unique and talented. Despite all he’s accomplished, this is still the beginning for PLG. With the Big Air and all the Mega Ramps being built, the surface is just being scratched.
