AMA Supercross Season Begins
The first round of the 2008 AMA Motocross Series was held this Memorial Day weekend at Glen Helen. The Boost Mobile team dominated! In the first moto of the day, Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy's Jason Lawrence pulled a huge holeshot and proceeded to lay the smack down on the other 250F's! Lawrence led every lap of the 35 minute moto. Lawrence didn't get as good of a start in moto 2 and ended up finishing in 5th. With a moto score of 1-5 on the day, Lawrence finished 3rd overall...a great start to a long season!
If you look up "bad ass" and "domination" in the dictionary you wont find a definition; you will only find a picture of James Stewart...right next to Chuck Norris, of course. Stewart made his debut this weekend on a rebuilt knee and, with only 3 weeks of riding in, dominated the stacked 450F field...he is a bad ass! Stewart went 1-1 on the day for the overall win and a ton of momentum going into the rest of the season. Watch out!
